Structure.
While the form and site are unique at every turn of the path, a modular 0.5 meter grid structure provides a simple, flexible framework for laying local stone and poured concrete formwork. This structure also allows vertical elements like benches and trash bins to be integrated seamlessly with the path’s horizontal surface. This modular formula can be applied over a long linear area, in this case, 1.7 km.

Materials.

Two surface materials give a subtle yet dynamic effect. They create a flexible pattern that can be laid in appropriate and unique ways along the path.
Vegetation beds showcase a diverse array of native plants. While some act as sculptural berms, others are permeable to circulation through the plazas. Tall trees provide shade along the path and within the plaza.

Surrounding these areas is a 0.5 meter interstitial border of habitable stone. Neither path nor landscape, this indefinable curb creates a soft edge between hard and green surfaces. A common metal material ties together utilitarian elements, including benches, railings, and lighting.

材料

两种表面材料产生了一种微妙而有动感的效果。它们产生的弹性肌理能够以适宜各部分区域环境且不失独特的方式运用到景观道路中。
植物的栽种展示了当地植物的多样化。一些植物修剪成具有雕塑感的护栏,一些渗透到穿越广场的交通流线中。高大的树木为小径和广场提供了荫凉。

这片区域的边缘铺有宽0.5米的留有间隙的岩石。很难定义这样的路缘是硬质铺地还是景观绿化,它是介于硬质表面和绿植表面之间的柔软边界。一种普通的金属材料使各种功能性构筑物得到统一,如长椅,围栏及灯具。
